Elton John Menezes

I started learning the Keyboard at the age of 9 since then, I have taken part in various competitions and have also had several performances. I have worked with Furtados School of Music and now I'm to private teaching.
I'm 21 and the biggest X factor about me is my age which lets me relate to youngsters of my age group. Playing pieces written by Bach, Mozart or Beethoven in the classical era is indeed fun. But this age is about contempraries like Coldplay, Riana, Maroon 5 which isnt be a part of the standard syllabus. The student would want to play on his keyboard what he listens to while jogging or travelling or while at the bus stop waiting for a bus. Im am a dynamic teacher who would encourage his students in such a venture. All i have to say is that music is not just about making the student imbibe the set lessons but also about enhancing their musicality and encouraging their creativity. Also being a part of the church choir for many years and having a huge collection of hyms I go a lil away from the usual curriculum to teach hymnals if the student prefers.
I have completed my Grade 7 in Electronic keyboard and Theory of music with a distinction in all exams,Headed church choirs,played at concerts and now im looking forward at my future prospects into music teaching.
