Yes, females can do abs crunches, but it depends on their current fitness levels, whether they can perform them with the right posture or not. If not, they should first do core stabilising exercises like bird-dog exercise and then only we can expect progression. The total no. of reps advised will depend... ...more

Yes, females can do abs crunches, but it depends on their current fitness levels, whether they can perform them with the right posture or not. If not, they should first do core stabilising exercises like bird-dog exercise and then only we can expect progression. The total no. of reps advised will depend on their goals.

  • Endurance - 12-20 reps with 60-70% RPE(Rate of Perceived Exertion)
  • Muscle Hypertrophy - 8-12 reps with 70-80% RPE
  • Strength Training - 4-8 reps with 80-90% RPE
  • Power Training - 1-2 reps with 90-100% RPE

Fat is lost throughout the body. Spot reduction is not possible. With an organised diet and workout plan, it is very much possible.

We cannot target arms specifically because fat is lost throughout the body. So to reduce fat from your arms, your overall fat percentage should drop which is very much possible with a planned workout plan and an organised diet plan according to your BCA(Body Composition Analysis).
