I am a lawyer by profession but I have been fortunate enough to be born in a family of musicians. My father is one of the senior most students of Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Grammy Award, Padhma Bhusan Awardee), a doyen of Indian classical music who plays Hawaiian Slide Guitar. I have been taught the intricacies and skills of playing Indian Classical Music on Hawaiian Slide Guitar by my father and as such naturally the style of playing is as emulated from his Guru Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. My mother is a lecturer in Sitar and the daughter of Padma Shri Pandit Balwant Rai Bhatt. Although I do have a basic formal degree in music but since most of the renowned musicians never had a degree in music, I believe in practice and learning more than the degree since it is a practical and not theoretical art. Anyone even remotely willing to borrow some of the learnings from the experience of a student who has learnt by emulating his Gurus and broken the same into easy identifiable steps for others to learn is welcome. I can help you learn both Classical music, light classical music, Bollywood music and even western songs and musical pieces.
