Overview

I started my persuance of music by learning from Karnataka Kalashree Pt.S.B.Hungund of Kirana Gharana. Pt.Hungund was pioneer in introducing Hindustani flavor to the music lovers of Mysore. He was a graded AIR artist, a composer, Harmonium accompanist. He was music director for many theater productions of his time and also a distinguished art critic. I was his cherished disciple till his sad demise in 1996.

I completed MA (music) in Karnataka Gangubai Music & Performing Arts University. I topped the university in both BA (music) and MA (music).
At present, I am a full time teacher of Hindustani music, and I also write reviews on concerts to prominent Newspapers.
