I am a parent to 4year son. I have gone through the reviews below, most negate the joining to NHVPS - RRnagar. I am looking to put my son for PGII(KG1), NHVPS - RRnagar asked us to wait until march for any dropouts for availing a seat. Chances to get into NHVPS - Bsk looks nice. Kindly advice on this school. NHVPS - Bsk is around 5-6kms from my residence, so looks good from distance perspective.
From NPS - Bsk we have been told we will have direct admission and will be called in the first week of November, how about this school? On contrary this school is pretty far from where we live, its a good 11-12kms!!!
NPS - Kengeri, any idea? Its 9-10kms from home. And they are giving application in the first week of November, but not sure they have admissions for PGII(KG1).
NPS - Rajajinagar, it is what we want the most as it is more reputed and just 3.5kms to our place. But again, not sure they have admissions for PGII(KG1). They seem to say admissions depends on any dropouts from PGI, and preference will be for Siblings, Staff Kids, Alumini Kids, Relocation cases, etc.

It would be of great help if I get answers to my queries above. «less

Am parent of student studying in nhvps rrnagar. Today I checked the website where in list of all affiliated schools are given I have few question on this .
1) Affiliation period for the school is 2000 to 2011 mean now it is expired .Does school have permission to run the school? no details is proper .

2) About Rama Ranganathan her education details is not mentioned and also her career experience.

Rumours was that she never worked in education institution and she was clerk before joining nhvps as principal.May be to avoid her cross questioning her she had interrogated about our education and profession details .

Please let me know if anyone find ans for atleast 1 question . May be time to change the school «less

Few negative feedbacks
1-Does not give importance to sports and other activities.
2-Earlier academic wise it was good now below average.
3-Caste biased (serious one cannot explain here )got the advise to stay away from this school if i am not vegetarian.
4-From the very young age (1st std ) school environment make the student to realize the difference b/w girls and boys and as a result girls will not gel up with boys .
5-Too much of homework if your kid is blessed with good IQ you are safe else parents have to spend time teaching to maintain the average score of the kid else.

Another parent was also waiting, she questioned the receptionist and she rudely replied that Principal is busy, not idle for which the parent said that she is waiting for over 2 hours for which the receptionist rudely said that all parents are waiting like her..they had a heated argument...after a while, after things cooled down, we parents were asking wen our turn will come for which the receptionist said that we will be called when its our turn and when asked why make us wait when they know about the time it will take for each interview, for which the receptionist said that its better we ask the Principal directly when we meet her...I didn't meet her...we waited for another half an hour,my husband said that if this is the case before joining the kid imagine our state after he gets his admission... We left...My son is studying in NHVPS BSK mainly because the Principal and staff there are very friendly and approachable. «less

@ Kumar hope you doing good. Well if your wife is not working then no issues but in other case, one has to spend atleast 3 hrs to get the home work done after 2nd std .if not then you have to be ready to hear words from them. Anyways you will get the experience hope your kid do well with your efforts .All the best.

@avni I checked the 10 th std results on the website. Yes it seems slightly below par when compared to NPS rajajinagar. I didnt dwell in to the faculty details. Doesnt make much of a sense with repsect to kids having private tuitions.. Which kid is not going to have tuitions ( ACE/BASE) to name a few of the schools (which I am aware are NHVPS, NPS,...  more » @avni

I did give an insight about our experience on the day of our interview.
I did manage to admit my kid to this school. I am aware of the irritating things about this school ( both for the kid and their parents).
At the end of the day I understand current education system is run like a business set up and we are at the receiving end as parents. This school might be one of them and we have accepted the same.
For me this was one of the better schools nearer to my place. As mentioned in my earlier post I couldnt get any feedback from NPS, Rajajinagar ( which was my first option).

Could you please give an insight when you say the faculty is not great after 1st std, till pg 1,2,3.. Please elaborate.

Other schools KLE, NPS ( Kengeri), RNS Vidyaniketan, Sri Vani, ---- was not too sure about applying to these
NAFL basveswarnagar - was not sure about the expenses. I thought this might be even more expensive than NHVPS.

NHVPS interview is for two things: 1. How educated your are and how much time you will give to your child: This to make sure you will be able to teach your child in future, even if they have average or poor faculty. This will insure good results of the school and increase reputation of school. 2. 1. How educated your are and how much time you will give to your child: This to make sure you will be able to teach your child in future, even if they have average or poor faculty. This will insure good results of the school and increase reputation of school.
2. How much money you earn: to make sure you will be able to pay increased fees in future without crying, not just now. PG1 fees last year 2013 was 87000, now 97000 for 2014. For one of parent, they took admission in this school few years back (3-4)with fees as 60k, now their kid is in 4th and they have to pay 115k.

Now come the good things: My daughter speaks quite good english if I compare students from other school of same age, and the same goes with other kids from NHVPS. This again may be dure to reason 1 as I mentioned above. :) «less
