The whole word and phonics approaches to reading differ in their focus and instructional methods.

Here are some differences between the two approaches:
  • Focus
Phonics focuses on letter sounds within words, while whole language focuses on making meaning from complete words.
  • Instructional methods
Phonics is more explicit and sequential, while whole language emphasizes the use of authentic texts and finding meaning.
  • Instructional focus
Phonics places a stronger emphasis on phonics skills and word-level decoding, whereas whole language focuses on reading for meaning, comprehension, and enjoyment.
  • Instructional approach
Phonics follows a bottom-up approach (letters and sounds before words), compared to whole language's top-down approach (words first).

When we give them demo for free.. they sometimes do not attend the same and sometimes just attend it for a pass time.

The tutors are charged with coins which means it is free when the student books a demo and we the tutors have to forgo the coins if not attended by student.i really do not understand the logic for this...
