Ways to improve your Piano playing skills

But, if you still find it difficult to make further progress from the already taught lessons, you definitely need some attention. You must keep these points in mind to improve your Piano playing skills: Basics first Before start practicing, it is better to understand all the aspects of piano carefully. Start learning the basics first and also try to know the important parts of piano so that you will feel more comfortable with the instrument. Hire a qualified Piano teacher If you are planning to learn Piano extensively, then it is good to hire an experienced Piano player as your teacher. You are very lucky if your teacher is a professional piano player because professionals can teach you advanced Piano lessons more easily. Warm up is important It is good to spend some time for warming up your skills before the real practice begins. Warm up helps you remain more confident and focused throughout your practice session. Try to include five-finger exercise, scales and arpeggios in your warm up session. You can also practice single hand exercise during your warm up period because it helps to learn complicated piece of music very easily. Practice schedule You must maintain a proper practice schedule once you have started your training session. Remember that, revising Piano lessons once in a week is not enough to make you a good Piano player. Therefore, dedicate at least 1-2 hours daily for practicing Piano and make it your top priority work every day. Practice more Regular and continuous practice are the two most important thing that you must strictly follow, if you need to achieve your goal. Piano skills can be improved only with regular and proper practice. While practicing lengthy notes, it is better to divide them into three or four pieces and learn them separately. After mastering each sections thoroughly, combine and play them together. This will help you to learn lengthy pieces quickly and perfectly without any errors. Criticize yourself Be a good critic and learn to criticize yourself. Criticizing your Piano playing style, tempo, rhythm etc. by yourself will automatically help you to identify the faults and correct them. Moreover, judging yourself is the best way to improve your skills and confidence level because others opinion may demotivate you. Build up music skills Mastering the music theory will really make your Piano lessons easier. Dedicate some time for learning and identifying music theory, notes, chord structures etc. so that it will give a clear idea about the music composition part. Looking for best Piano teacher?
