Himanshu Nanda

Himanshu Nanda is an accomplished Hindustani Classical flautist and Director - Music at “Chinmaya Naada Bindu”– A Gurukul for Indian performing arts, Kolwan, Pune, India.

One among the five meritoriously selected scholars to enjoy the tutelage of the legendary Bansuri maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, this senior disciple is known for his unique vibrant recitals. He has accompanied his guru on prestigious occasions and in doing so, has had the opportunity of sharing the stage with artists like Fazal Qureshi, George Brooks, Gwyneth Wentink and Sivamani. He has also provided accompaniment to great dancers like Pt. Birju Mahraj, Sitara Devi, and Darshana Jhaveri.

Himanshu is a Sangeet Visharad, with a Master's Degree in Music, and has won prestigious awards like “Best Musician”, “Talent of the Year”, “Yuva Pratibha Samman” and the “Sur Mani” title conferred by Mumbai’s Sur Singar Samsad.
He has enthralled audiences through his concerts in India, Kenya, South Africa, USA, Sri Lanka, Singapore, France, Indonesia, and Japan. He has trained over 200 students, and is renowned for his interactive lecture demonstrations and innovative workshops.

Himanshu Nanda humbly strives to carry forward his guru’s tradition of uplifting listeners to a higher plane of consciousness by meaningfully emphasizing “silence” through music.
