Primary sector:

Secondary sector:
1.It22 processes natural resources.
2.It8 converts raw materials provided by primary activities into finished or semi-finished goods.
3.It4 is dependent on the Primary sector for supply of raw materials.
4.A shift of economic activities from Primary to Secondary sectors indicates a developing economy.
5.e.g. manufacturing and construction.

Following circumstances compelled the government to start targeted anti-poverty programmes
(i) Since the poor are not able to take advantage from the opportunities created for them, the growth in the agriculture sector is much below expectations.
(ii) In agriculture sector, large number of poor people are employed, therefore, the need for targeted anti-poverty programmes was felt.

? National Employment Guarantee Funds
? National Food for Work Programme
? PMRY, SGSY, PMGY or AAY
