In every field, the master position is there. So try on the mechanical field only by shining your skills. If you move to another field just for the job, you may get a job as fresher and reach some level to survive, but when the time comes to turn your career to reach next levels, your education will become a problem. read lessHello Priya, yes that is true. CAD or SAP plm is totally different, so if you want to switch CAD to SAP plm, clear your doubts because SAP is a software & very interesting for your career. Sap plm is a system which helps companies to plan, design, build and administer production with greater visibility and more control.

PLM is product life cycle management, and it will include managing all the sap modules like MM, SD, HR, BASIS, SOLMAN, ETC. SAP PLM itself not treated as a Module in SAP.
And If you want to switch from CAD TO SAP, you will be treated as a fresher. Do some certification in SAP in the Technical Module or in Functional Module to get a job ASAP in SAP.
Both Cad and sap plm are both different courses for one another. But if you apply internally through your company department, you can do the same in the company. So, if you are switching your service pls change where you are doing your current job already.just change the dept in the equal company only.

The formula is straightforward. You have to enter the SAP market always as a fresher, get ready to draw a lower salary than what you may be bringing today because of your domain experience. But, the adjustment would be high-speed, and you will be able to pick up from you left to the stage when you can draw a decent salary after at least 2 years of hard work and zeal to succeed. Anyone who thinks just by doing a course in SAP he will get into the list of high salary drawing people, it's just wrong. Your current domain experience of a CAD engineer will also be of good use as you would be able to understand concepts very fast and put to use. Remember, SAP is just a tool to accomplish the work in industries that are done manually or using other uncommon tools.
