Sleep is slumber, a state of rest. For example, A baby needs lot of sleep (n). I can't sleep (v) with the light on. Asleep is sleeping or slumbering. For example, She is fast asleep (aj), don't disturb her. He fell asleep (aj) during the meeting. Hope my explanation clarifies your doubt.

You can but only basics. For complete confidence you at least require 2 months.

It is not difficult. I suggest you to attend a spoken English class and learn from a private tutor. Read newspaper regularly. Note down difficult words and try to get the correct meninges of the sentences . Keep practising
