It depends on your existing knowledge of the subject. However basic grammar may take a one month to be taught. You can side by side work on your vocabulary. Also indulge yourself in regular communications. It will surely help

Reading newspapers, watching Eng news and all methods,I'm sure you have tried already. But no measurement of progress demotivates you. It's very common. Most of my students had similar problems. I have designed a Spoken English course, that also includes business English classes. Duration is 3 months for basic English and onr month for Business English.
