Record your reading and speaking practice. Listen to it after some time. See what is not working well and try to improve. Make a list of the new words that you come across, check their meaning. Try to make sentences with the new words learnt.

I personally think that not even God can teach you if you don't have the zest in yourself. On most occasions I fail to comprehend as to why people consider this simple language as something alienated? It's easier than our mother tongue. If you seriously wish to learn, then just don't watch or listen to English movies or songs, but try to apply the dialogues or lyrics somewhere in the public, be it friends or social circles. You might be having this phobia of getting humiliated in front of your circle when you come up with lame sentences in the beginning. Please quit shying away as it leads you to nowhere but repentance. Trust me upon this when I tell you that no single individual in your circle has got that excess time to comment or think upon the mistakes that you come across, they have their private issues to worry for. This is just another trick of the trade. Hope you have a good life ahead. :) read less

If you want to improve your spoken English the first and foremost thing required is "PRACTICE". You have to develop your reading skills. Ensure that before going to bed you read aloud at least 5-10 lines from TIMES OF INDIA and continue this practice for the first week. In the second week, gradually increase your reading to 20 lines everyday. In the 3rd & 4th week, you read one article daily. By doing so, your reading skills will improve automatically and secondly you will gain the knowledge of Sentence formation, vocabulary, etc. You should also watch English news on TV as well as English movies with subtitles. By doing so, you will be able to speak fluent English with clear diction. You should inculcate the habit of reading news-papers, good books in English as well as try to practice speaking in English. While reading the news-paper at home, ensure that you read bit aloud so that you can hear your own voice and continue the practice of reading. Therefore practice of reading is very much essential. Firstly make sure that how much amount of English you are familiar with. Directly hitting towards any English newspaper or magazine is not a good idea. They contain tough vocabularies which is not meant for spoken. To me you sound like bit confuse to express yourself comfortably and confidently in English. You should be good at general vocabulary mostly including verbs. You should make yourself comfortable in expressing your thoughts easily using verbs or tenses. Most importantly you can speak half of what you understand. So it is important of what amount of English do you listen everyday? Speaking is not everything what other activities you are involved in English? You must start speaking English in real life at least 5 min. a day then increase it up to your favourable hours. Track your daily improvements by taking people opinions. Enjoy your daily practice. read less
