Since you are interested in the database, you can try the below options.
For MS-SQL, it will be easy, and job opportunities are a bit less when compared to Oracle.
You said you have three years gap, make sure you have a convincing reason for HRs.

Hi, the very basic is MS Access.
If you know access queries, then SQL will be right for you.
The higher version of SQL is ORACLE, which is widely used in today's real-time applications.
MS Access and MS SQL are Microsoft windows platform, whereas ORACLE can be used in all cross platforms operating systems.
More into that is Data Mining, Data Administration and other fields depends on your interest and skill level and potential.

Hi Santhosh,
If the choice is between Oracle and MS SQL server, I would recommend Oracle. Oracle is more widely used than peers especially for enterprise solutions in MNCs like JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, BNP, Citi, BOA etc.
I would also recommend you focus on Object stores and NoSQL database, especially with Big Data flavours like MongoDB, Post GreSQL, Hadoop etc.
