Teaching Experience in detail in Spoken English classes

i have taught students from varied age groups, falling into all three categories- below, above and at average. i have received many personal reviews on how my lessons have helped my students, gain confidence and speak fluently in English without fumbling. i try to make learning experience very interesting for my students. all my content is a result of hours of sincere efforts and optimum research done to match it with the ever-changing requirements of the dynamic world. my lectures are very structured yet i try to keep them on a lighter note. over time, i have taught many lovely students who have ended up becoming my friends. my approach as a teacher has always been student-centered. i have attended several seminars and workshops aimed at equipping tutors with student-friendly methods of teaching. overall, i just love my teaching journey because it keeps teaching me new things every single day. i look forward to keep improving and delivering the best lessons to my students, that make them future-ready. will see you in the class kids :-)

  3. Heavy consonants- enunciate heavy consonant words. Pronounce that t in "Duty" as T: not as the 'd' as doody so that duty is pronounced dewty or a softer jooty. Pronounce the suffix -ing with a strong g. This way, it sounds like -ing rather than - een.
  4. Sometimes drop the ts-so "Battle" might be pronounced ba-ill.
  5. Listen to the "Music" of the language. All accents and dialects have their musicality. Pay attention to the tones and emphasis of British speakers.

I hope it helps!

There is no syllabus, fixed material or test for vocabulary; it's a lifelong process. and is always a by-product of learning or doing something else. The best way is to start learning some other skills- you will either watch videos or read material for that- both are great sources to pick up new words and learn how to use them in different contexts. Plus, you know two skills at a time. Buy one get one free-isn't it?

So how this happened(I will try to keep it short)- I was very good at English. Yet, I struggled with communicating effectively. Thus busting the myth that knowing good English is necessary for communication, I watched videos, attended lectures, but what worked for me was when I met my fear head-on, the only way to learn better communication is to start communicating. I sure made mistakes in the starting period, but those only made me better. So go and talk to random strangers, just say whatever comes to your mind, compliment the person standing next to you in the grocery store aisle, make orders at a restaurant, greet people, do. TAKE ACTION, STOP PREPARING.

It is a big misconception among non-native speakers that you have to learn all the grammar tools, attend lectures, or do those sorts of things to get fluent in English. My experience as a spoken English tutor tells me that the answer lies in the fact that languages are learnt best, not by cramming all the grammar rules and learning lists of vocabulary words. Still, something much more straightforward and exciting- watch English movies and listen to people talk in English.
To back my opinion, consider a toddler around you; she doesn't know her native language's grammar or what the word itself means. Still, she listens to people around her speak the language and eventually learns to speak the language very fluently, with no mistakes in her grammar either. The same goes for us adults. When you have heard so many sentences in English, you will automatically know what is correct and what isn't. Even though professional English tutors rely on this technique only, we don't need to check the grammar is correct or not by matching with the rules. When we listen to a sentence, we automatically know the mistake because the part is not making a sentence.
I hope you find my answer different and valuable. Good luck with chilling, watching movies and watch yourself become the most fluent English speaker you know.
