Journal is a primary boook of account used for recording transactions(i.e purchase and sales) in a specified manner to get complete details of all transaction related to any particular year...it is nothing but just like a register used by commen businessman..the only difference between register and journal is that the register has no certain format to record transaction but journal has a certain format followed by every businessman..
