I have been playing guitar for more than 13 years. I conduct 1-on-1 sessions online via Zoom/Skype/Google Meet/WhatsApp/Facetime - you are free to choose any platform. My ideology is that I want to teach you not just the guitar, but music in a more holistic manner; for you to be able to have a deeper and better understanding of music. The sessions are aimed at making guitar learning fun & casual without compromising on the serious efforts that are needed to master the instrument. Go through some YouTube tutorials to get your basic training. Like learning some simple mechanical exercises to gain some strength in your hands/fingers. How can I learn guitar by myself?

Go through some video tutorials (there are a lot of free options for basics, especially YouTube) and get your fundamentals right. Practice for a month or two. you will start getting some decent results and will see some progress after that period.

What are some tips for becoming an expert guitar player?

Get your basics right. Be consistent & practice regularly. Play at slow tempos with the metronome. Start with easy songs. Also, never stop learning your favorite songs, irrespective of the fact that whether you are good or bad at playing them. Keep it fun and enjoyable.
