Neelakantan Indanthuruthil Krishnan

I was trained in Carnatic Music (South Indian style of Classical Music) by my mother who is a professional classical musician through “Gurushishya Parampara” an age old tradition of learning. I made my debut at the age of five at “Ayyappa” Temple in Vadodara as a part Onam Celebrations. Ever since my debut, I have had several opportunities to perform Carnatic music across India at many prestigious venues. As I developed as a student of music I started performing popular music with my schoolmates. This opened up a new chapter in my musical vista, for the next ten years. I explored and performed music from different genres varying from Country, R&B, Jazz all the way to Heavy and Extreme Metal music. My training in Carnatic music consisted of understanding and singing in complex Ragas (melodic structure) and Taal (rhythmic patterns). Compositions in Carnatic music are set up in multiple languages which has enabled me to perform in different languages as, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, and English.
