Newton's Three Laws of Motion

The branch of natural science, Physics deals with the study of motion, space, time, energy and so on. The main motivation of this study is to understand the act of the universe. Today, Physics does not only help generate fundamental knowledge about nature, but likewise extends the knowledge and understanding of various disciplines concerning the nature of our life. Thus, learning physics is basic as it is used in regular day to day existence.

Newton's Three Laws of Motion

On the other hand, when it comes to learning physics as a subject, Sir Isaac Newton’s three laws of motion is one of the most important laws of Physics. It is because this law of motion talks about almost every force involved in everyday life. For example; Gravitational force, Frictional force, Applied Force, Tension force, Spring force and so on. Newton’s three laws of motion simply describe the rules of the motion of physical objects in this world. Sir Isaac Newton Sir Isaac Newton is one the world's most influential scientists of all time. Born on 25 December 1642-1727 in England, Isaac Newton is the key figure in the emergence of the science. He is not only an acclaimed physicist but also a world renowned astronomer and mathematician. Today, his discoveries include, Three Laws of Motion and Law of Universal Gravitation has changed the world completely. The First Law of Motion: The first law of motion is also known as the “Law of Inertia”. This law describes that, when an object is at rest, it will remain at rest until and unless a force acts upon it. Simply, the law of inertia says, with an absence of an unbalanced force, an object in motion continues in the state of the same motion (there will be no change in its velocity). The Second Law of Motion: The Second Law is about an unbreakable relationship between Force = f, MASS = m, and Acceleration = a. The second law’s of motion states that, the rate of change of momentum of a body, is directly proportional to the force applied and this change in momentum takes place in the direction of the applied force. Simply, the greater the amount of mass, the greater the force required to move (accelerate) the mass. F= M*A (Mass is constant) The Third Law of Motion: Newton’s third law states, when a body applies a force on another body, the second body simultaneously exerts a force with the same ratio, in opposite direction on the first body. Simply, the third law says that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Image Source: supercoloring.com
