At present , the ratio between the ages of P and Q is 5:7 respectively. If the difference between Q's present age and P's age after 6years is 2 ,what is the total age of P's and Q's present age

 

Given p:q is 5:7 lets assume their present ages are 5x and 7x difference between q present age i.e 7x and p's age after 6 years is 2 so 7x-(5x+6) = 2 therefore 2x-6 = 2 which gives x= 4 and therefore total present age is 12x = 12*4 = 48
