Hyderabad and Nagpur were two places I taught. NIT in Nagpur is where I received my undergraduate degree, and SMMCA in Nagpur is where I received my postgraduate degree. The two institutes are among the best in India. The Humber College in Toronto, Canada, awarded me a certificate in AutoCAD as well. I have previously instructed college students pursuing an Interior Design diploma.

Select the object by left clicking it, then right clicking and selecting Quick properties from the options that appear.
Or
Select Utilities tool from the Home tab, use the drop down menu to select Area tool, and come back to your object, select it, you see green selected space which gives you the area.

The basic commands of AuroCAD are:
1) Drawing Purpose - Line, Polyline, Polygon, Arc, Rectangle, Circle, Arc
2) Modify (Drawing) Purpose - Fillet, Trim, Extend, Offset, Mirror, Offset, Mirror, Erase, Hatch
