TOEFL and IELTS Exam are English language proficiency tests, these are given by those who want to go to a country where English is the preferred language of communication. On the other hand, GRE or GMAT exam assesses the analytical ability of the aspirants. Requirements for standardized graduate admissions tests like GMAT, GRE, TOEFL or IELTS are decided by the colleges, universities, and institutions themselves. It also varies from course to course and university to university. Also, those who belong to an English speaking country may not require to give these English language proficiency tests.
