Chhandaneer

I am a dance teacher specialised in Kathak and I am giving tution in my dance school, Chhandaneer at Ramgarh, Kolkata since 2007.

I am certified dancer Sangeet Bhaskar from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh.

I have also participated in various classical Dance Festival and own various awards in Kathak.

I am also attached with guru Smt Paramita Maitra (Prime Disciple of Pt. Birju Maharaj) and participated in various workshops under Maharajji.

My main skills are:

•Training and developing pupils in Kathak dance form.

Planning and delivering dance lessons.

Choreographing full routines to a high standard for beginners right through to advanced students.

Delivering enjoyable, structured and well-planned dance activities.

Explaining and demonstrating dance techniques and methods.

Teaching the history of Kathak dance.

Choreographing and directing dance performances.

Controlling groups of pupils and when required disciplining them.

Teaching dance as a form of recreation.

Showing pupils how to rehearse and exercise.

Monitoring a pupils progress.

Performing numerous dance routines throughout the day.
