What exactly do you mean to say when you say failed. What is the score you are aiming, and what score did you achieve?

There are a couple of things you can do to improve your band in the speaking module.
Using idioms but relevantly can help improve your score. Similarly, using phrasal verbs and a useful vocabulary helps to fetch you a better band.

Fluency is another factor. Speak as much English as possible with family friends and groups on social sites. Practice speaking on familiar topics like your hobbies, job, subjects, college, aim, home, family members and so on. Also, there is a wide range of cue cards available online and offline. Practice speaking on them. The more you practice, the more the ideas to express.

Hiring a professional trainer to achieve your desired band is another option you can look into.

If you want to improve your reading score in exams like IELTS or TOEFL, then the first thing you need to do is to put in some time to improve where you're going wrong. Which part of it is consuming your time? If you know this, then you can put in more efforts in that particular field.

Start watching videos on youtube, preferably with subtitles. This can improve your pace, instead of going with your own pace. Your score in reading and any other module is directly proportional to the number of mock tests you take. You can start solving the practise tests because they are almost of the same level as that of the exam.

One main suggestion is that you have to avoid skimming and scanning through the pages. This will not help you increase the clarity in your reading. Read them to absorb every idea and not to get an overall vague idea. See that you are making short notes while reading the passage. You don't have to write complete sentences; write a word for an idea and move on. Don't hurry up with reading while you are practising. Take time to read, and once you become a good reader and comprehend things quickly, you will automatically read faster.

Hope this helps. All the best!

So I believe if done with dedication should not be more than two weeks. What I think matters the most is:

1) Concentrating during the time of the exam because there will be distractions.

2) Speed is essential as in exams like these, and we tend to put a lot of effort and time into one question forgetting about other questions.

3) Positive attitude, as always :)

I completely agree with the effective ways suggested in the previous answer. Those are a must for a good score. Some more tips:-

1) Structure your answer well. Take some time to structure what are you going to speak. Even if you speak impeccable English, talking in a haphazard manner will give a negative impression.

2) Use examples, News, Facts, etc you know to answer. I think they do fetch some extra points. Not much brush up little on basic stuff. Try to exemplify using things you know.

3) Speak clearly but do not try to fake accent. Do not speak as you have just come after binge-watching Netflix for hours :P

4) Practice some sample questions. If possible make a list of some good lines, words, phrases, etc and if possible judicially use them for different possible questions.

You have two options if you don't get the desired result. 1. Reappear for the test after working on your weak areas. 2. Apply for a re-evaluation which costs money and takes about 6 weeks.
