1. In any cell, put an = sign and start typing initial letters of the operation you want to perform for e.g. =count(range)

2. Use the RIbbions menu and click on Formulas tab. After that use the Insert Function and search for the forumula you want to apply.

It's depends on which formula you have to type... In general select a cell and type the formula that's all For ex. To sum all number A1 to A5 Then formula will be =Sum(A1:A5)
