Sudipto Bal

I have been learning Hindustani Classical Music since I was nine and am still doing so. As of now I have almost 15 years of experience in the field.

I have completed 'Sangeet Prabhakar', (equivalent to a graduate course in Hindustani Classical Music) from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. I presently learn from the renowned classical singer Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty (Kolkata) and Pt. Shyama Prasad Niyogi (All India Radio, Ranchi).

During the course of my journey in pure classical music, I have occasionally had the opportunity of learning light classical music (thumri, bhajan and ghazal). I don't have a YouTube channel as I am not after too much publicity.

I have performed in many concerts and won many competitions during these years. After I joined college, I formed a fusion(hard rock with Hindustani classical) band when I was in college wherein I was the lead vocalist. We had represented the college in many national level fests and won many prizes for the University. I had voluntarily started classes in my college to provide vocal training to people who were musically junior to me.

Though I work with an MNC as an engineer, it is in my deepest interests to pursue music along with my work and teaching something I really love would help me make my humble contribution to Hindustani Classical Music and grow in the field.
