Si la letra C está antes de la letra E ó I, suena como CE, CI (SE, SI).

Ejemplos: CIEN, CERRO, CERRAR, LUCIR. 

 

Si la letra C está antes de la letras A, O, U, suena como K (CA/KA, CO/KO, CU/KU).

Ejemplos: CASA, CAROLINA, COMER, CUERPO, CUADERNO, CORRER. 

También suena como K cuándo la letra está al final de la palabra. 

Ejemplos: bloc, zinc, tic, cómic.
