Piano scales are sequences of musical notes arranged in ascending or descending order, following a specific pattern of intervals. Scales are fundamental to understanding music theory and building a foundation for playing melodies, harmonies, and improvisations. Each scale has a unique set of intervals between its notes, defining its character and sound.

Common types of piano scales include:

1. Major Scale:

  • Descending Pattern: W - H - W - W - H - W - W
  • Example: B Melodic Minor Scale (B - C# - D - E - F# - G# - A# - B)

5. Chromatic Scale:

  • Example: C Chromatic Scale (C - C# - D - D# - E - F - F# - G - G# - A - A# - B - C)

6. Pentatonic Major Scale:

7. Pentatonic Minor Scale:

8. Blues Scale:

9. Whole-Tone Scale:
