Hlookup will looks for a value in the top row of a table and returns the value in the same column from the row you specify. syntax: HLOOKUP(Lookup_Value, Table_Array, Row_Index_Num, [Range_Lookup]) In simple we can remember the HLookup syntax with the below example, HLookup (Find This Value, In this Table, From this row num, False) In Hlookup first 3 arguments are mandatory and 4th argument [range_lookup] is optional, even if you dont pass value to this argument hlookup function will give you out by considering the default value (True) in range_lookup. Range_lookup argument is optional attribute* *Optional argument: In Excel if you notice any argument in any function enclosed in square brackets then that argument is optional and functional will executes with entering value to it.
