You can get into the gym too were the instructors would give you a particular set of exercise to do. You can also get your muscles built in the gym.

Otherwise if you wanted to get into professional like say, classical - Bharathanatya, kuchupudi, Kathak, Oridissi etc or contemporory, salsa, Hiphop etc  you should get trained by guru/master and get certified, and then you will get well versed with the particular format of dance and teach others.

Yes, in almost all Bharathanatyam, there is a choreography of Mahishasuramardhini, where they do perform with the costume, One of My friend does this with the costume. If you need contact i can provide on basis of why this question was asked?
