you simply need to follow some tips and work smartly instead of fully focusing on all the basics as it would be too complicated for you and there are greater chances of getting confused in case you try to master a totally different language to the one you have just learnt.

This is quite a common question. Honestly, if English is your primary or secondary language this should not be difficult. If not, then you need to start from the basics. Either way, brush up on your basics and you should be fine with it.

Please check out the format and syllabus of TEF in the Beginning itself. Then start your classes in French language preferably individual, one to one to save time. Quickly add up to your Vocabulary each dday.Write the Masculine Nouns in black and feminine in red. Make lists of verbs, adjectives, prepositions, check their usage. Start with present tense then passeé composé, verbs tenses etc. Make simple sentences… Read, write, listen as much as possible. Use diverse sources. You tube to watch French movies, clips etc. If in group classes it takes 200 hours to complete A1/A2 level, individual classes would take approximately half the time. Also, in group, if you are absent, you miss the topics, but in individual classes, you never miss a thing… Can repeat a difficult topic.fees not charged for missed classes. So either spend more time and money, or seek individual classes and save money and time both.
