Answer Without knowing the work, it will be hard to comment. However, coming to the duration of the reviewing process, it takes around 6-8 weeks max. And even if the outcome is also the same as now, you might miss chances in applying for schools. If an experienced IELTS teacher or trainer has assessed you and your score is higher all the time, then this might be a valid reason to get a remark, but remember that not all IELTS teachers know how to assess IELTS tests accurately. You should go for review only when you’re 100 percent sure.

If one of the other skills is two bands higher, you will automatically get a remark in the local test centre. This means the examiner and senior examiner have already assessed the test, and it is doubtful that another examiner will have a different opinion.
