In present time to pursue PHD also, you have to qualify UGC NET exam.... ...more

after qualifying UGC NET exam,you are eligible to be ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in direct recruitments in colleges, THOUGH in some universities first fill form for assitsant professor and appear in written exam. In present time to pursue PHD also, you have to qualify UGC NET exam. and ya if you qualify with higher percentage so you would be qualify as JRF and you can get stipend of Rs.35000-40000/  monthly.

Is the CTET compulsory after the UGC NET exam?

hey Sakthivel, greetings.. there is vast difference between ctet examination and net examination. ctet makes you eligible to teach in schools, while NET makes you eligible for teaching in degree colleges.

Is BTech student eligible for UGC net?

hello medha, B.tech students are not eligible for the UGC NET Exam. They must be qualifying or qualified for their Masters. But on the good note, you can apply for CSIR NET which gives the same job opportunities as UGC NET, to the qualified candidates. CSIR NET is conducted only for the Science stream... ...more
