PTE Academic Exam

As mentioned earlier, PTE Aademic is one of the popular open entrance exam that is being taken up by students to test their English proficiency and frame a career abroad.

From registration in PTE Academic exam till results are announced within 5 working days, the PTE exam includes the following steps:

a) Registration of PTE exam

On the first page of application form of PTE academic exam, you have to fill the following questions/tabs:

1. Do you know your PTE ID?
Select Yes (if you have a PTE Exam ID) and select No, in case you are a New User in the Pearson PTE wesbite.

2. Title
State Mr, Miss or Mrs (as applicable for the PTE examinee. If you have a qualified Doctorate degree, you can mention the same.)

3. First Name
Mention only your first name (as mentioned in government id or passport).

4. Middle Name
Mention this only if you have a valid middle name (as mentioned in government id or passport).

5. Last name
Here you have to state your surname with the right spelling (as mentioned in government id or passport).

6. Suffix
Here you can mention Jr, Sr, II, III, IV, if that applies for the candidate.

7. Date of Birth (DOB)
State your correct DOB (as mentioned in government id or passport).

8. Email
In the e-mail section, make sure you mention your right and in present use email id. Its in the same e-mail id, that applicants are sent their registration confirmation, score and so on, in the later stage of PTE exam.

On successful registration, a ID and password will be sent to your registered e-mail id. Do note the ID and password – as you will need these as login details, every time to browse the official Pearson website.

After receiving the login details from Pearson on your registered e-mail id, you can select your PTE academic  exam test date and venue, as per your convenience under ‘Schedule Exams’ tabs.

PTE academic exam fee payment is possible in the following ways : credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or JCB) or debit card (Visa or MasterCard only).

Please note, registration of PTE academic exam is only possible for candidates with valid passport. In case, you don’t own a passport, you are not considered eligible for the test. Also, you will have to carry the same passport to the exam center on the PTE exam day.

PTE exam day

The PTE academic  exam day starts with reaching the right exam center on the pre-fixed test day. Other than stationery for the PTE test, candidates must carry their passport to the exam center on the day of PTE exam.

The PTE academic  test day begins with bio-metrics collection of each student who reaches the exam center in time. PTE exam bio-metrics is collected in the following ways:

a) Digital image

b) Digital signature

c) Digital Palm Scan

The PTE academic  exam starts hereafter with the Speaking segment, followed by Writing, Reading and Listening.

Optional break on PTE academic  test day:
If required, students are allowed to take a 10-minute break on the PTE test day between Reading and Listening test.

Time in PTE academic  exam (section-wise)PTE Score:
After five working days from your PTE test day, you can check your PTE score/result on the official Pearson website. The PTE result other than your PTE score, also contains the following:

• Speaking section score
• Listening section score
• Reading section score
• Writing section score
• Grammar score
• Spelling score
• Oral Fluency score
• Vocabulary score
• Written discourse score
