Depending upon the experience and flexibility of the body, it varies. Also it depends which type of yoga you are targeting. Some yoga form takes a lot of effort to master. Some yoga forms are easy and can be mastered relatively easily.

But, your consistent effort is required. 

Also, Yoga doesn't mean to master bending the body in unimaginable ways. It's to master the practice so that you feel the rythm of your own body, be aware of its needs and get better knowledge of how your body is affected by external factors.

I suggest you start the process without thinking about the time needed to be good at it.
